Quantcast The 10 Greatest Metal Riffs of the '70s - KFRQ Q94.5

The 10 Greatest Metal Riffs of the ’70s

Loudwire.com put together a list of the 10 Greatest Metal Riffs of the 1970s. But they cheated, because at #1, they put “Every BLACK SABBATH Riff”.

It’s kind of hard to argue, though . . . and the list would be kind of boring if it was just 10 Sabbath riffs. Anyway, here’s the list:

1. Every Black Sabbath Riff

2. “School’s Out”, Alice Cooper

3. “Smoke on the Water”, Deep Purple

4. “Kashmir”, Led Zeppelin

5. “Cat Scratch Fever”, Ted Nugent

6. “Runnin’ with the Devil”, Van Halen

7. “Cities on Flame”, Blue Oyster Cult

8. “Victim of Changes”, Judas Priest

9. “Working Man”, Rush

10. “Dead Men Tell No Tales”, Motorhead
