SLIPKNOT is working on their next album, which will be out sometime next year. And COREY TAYLOR seems pretty amped about it.
In an interview with “Metal Hammer”, he said, quote, “The way we’ve been describing it is, ‘What if the guys who made ‘Iowa’ matured? What if the kids who made Iowa grew up?'”
By the ‘guys who made Iowa’ he’s not talking about Native Americans, or the European explorers Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet, who first documented Iowa back in 1673. (???) He’s talking about THEMSELVES of course. They’re FROM Iowa, and that’s the name of their second album.
He added, quote, “Some of this [stuff] is just so hard and dirty fast . . . it’s going to be [effing] crazy. People are going to [poop] their pants when they hear it.”
There’s no title or release date for the album yet. But if you’re a Slipknot fan, be prepared. And ask for a healthy supply of BUTT WIPES for Christmas.
