DAVE DRAIMAN from DISTURBED never thought he’d have to battle BEYONCÉ for a Grammy.

But Disturbed’s cover of “The Sound of Silence” is up against “Don’t Hurt Yourself” by Beyoncé and Jack White for Best Rock Performance . . . and he’s not really happy about it.

He says, quote, “When you can have, with all due respect, a Beyoncé and a Disturbed in the same category, something has gone wrong.”

What’s wrong is that “rock” is just too broad a category at the Grammys. The other nominees for Rock Performance are Alabama Shakes, Twenty One Pilots, and David Bowie. Draiman says, quote, “When did it all become ‘rock’?

“If you look at every other genre, there are so many categories and sub-categories. For rock, this is all we’ve got, so everything ends up being jammed into these four categories. It’s too diverse!

“Not taking anything away from [Beyoncé] whatsoever, we’re just very different from each other.”

Not that it matters. Draiman thinks Bowie’s gonna win . . . which he’s not unhappy about.
