Korn’s New Bassist Is . . . The 12-Year-Old Son of Metallica’s Bassist?

KORN has hired a new bassist to join their tour . . . and it’s a 12-year-old kid.  (???)  Not just any 12-year-old, though.  He’s the son of METALLICA bassist ROBERT TRUJILLO, and he can rock!

His name is TYE TRUJILLO, and he’s in a band called THE HELMETS with three other kids.  He’s performing with Korn on their South American tour, which includes dates in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru later this month.

Korn’s regular bassist Fieldy Arvizu is can’t make it due to, quote, “unforeseen circumstances,” whatever that means.

The band said, quote, “We’re bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run, but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye.  We look forward to welcoming Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.”

Repost @chloetrujillo ・・・ Thank you @cliffburtonfamily!!! 💜 @tyetru loving his aria #cliffburton bass
